The hit HBO series, True Blood, features Anna Paquin as Sookie Stackhouse, a rural Louisiana waitress in love with a vampire.   Based on the Charlaine Harris Southern Vampire Mystery novel series, True Blood premiered in 2008 and quickly became a fan favorite.  As True Blood begins its fourth season, Buy Soundtrax Records has released the EP, I Wanna Do Bad Things With You and Other Music from the HBO TV Series True Blood, available in digital format.

The first two tracks of the five-song EP are two distinct versions of I Wanna Do Bad Things With You, the True Blood theme song created by Dominik Hauser.  The first version is performed in a sultry and seductive voice by noted jazz singer Katie Campbell.  The second version of this song is performed by Tommy Morgan, offering up a more honkytonk version of the song, heavy on the harmonica and minus the lyrics.

The third track features the Love Theme from True Blood, composed by Nathan Barr and performed by Lisbeth Scott.  This is a beautiful classical piano piece filled with dramatic and romantic flare.  This is followed by a new age version of the Love Theme performed by South Korean pianist Joohyun Park.  Although this version is ethereal in quality, I much prefer the piano version of the theme.  Wrapping things up is another beautiful piano piece, composed by Nathan Barr and performed by Joohyun Park, entitled Goodbye Godric.

This EP features a sneak peak into the beauty of the music that is featured on True Blood.  It gives you just enough to capture your interest and make you wonder about the rest of the music featured in the series.  For a snippet of what True Blood sounds like, check out I Wanna Do Bad Things With You and Other Music from the HBO TV Series True Blood from Buy Soundtrax Records, now available on iTunes and at Amazon.com.
