The X-Box One racing game Forza Motorsport 6, by Turn 10 Studios, allows you to collect, customize and race over 450 Forzavista cars that feature working cockpits, opening doors and full damage.  Former versions of the game allowed you to race all over the world in night or day competitions, but now players can experience wet-weather driving as well.  The game was released on September 15, 2015, Turn 10 Studios' tenth anniversary and features a musical score by the composing team of Kaveh Cohen and Michael Nielson.

Both Cohen and Nielson began their music careers as producers, but eventually began composing their own music, creating scores for video games, television series, movies and motion picture advertising.  Their creations have been tied to campaigns for such Hollywood blockbusters as The Martian, Black Mass, Jurassic World, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Guardians of the Galaxy, American Sniper and more.  Television credits include the theme of America: The Story of Us, the score of Wolverine and the X-Men, Ocean Adventures, The Crash of Flight 191, Probable Cause, The Science of Star Wars and more.  The duo find themselves in demand in the video gaming industry, creating scores for Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist, League of Legends Udyr, Road to the Cup, Battleship and more.

The music of Forza Motorsport 6 combines electronic and orchestral sound.  Recorded with a ninety piece orchestra and cutting edge digital programming the Forza Motorsport 6 Soundtrack features almost ninety minutes of adrenaline pumping music with heroic horns, fast-paced strings and heavy percussion setting the action pace.  Formation offers up a feeling of determination and resolve as the various contestants prepare to start the race.  Tyre features rocking electric guitars and racing sounds (revving engines) in the background.  Slipstreamer, featuring electric guitars and heavy percussion, is comparatively dark, offering up a sense of danger.  Nothing Is Stock features electronic manipulation and distortion reminding everyone that these vehicles are customized and therefore unpredictable in performance.

Kaveh Cohen and Michael Nielson have created a musical score that combines perfectly with the Forza Motorsport 6 gameplay, heightening the action of the race and offering up that extra shot of adrenaline to the player.  As a stand alone album, this is definitely an adrenaline pumper, so I would not recommend listening to it while driving - that need for speed might kick in.  However, I think this would also make a terrific accompaniment to anyone's cardio workout, kicking things up a notch with music.
