Website

Upon one of my many “I’m bored, let’s find a good site”
adventures I came across a website for an online streaming radio station. What
made this particular station different than the many thousands that can be found
at live365 and Yahoo’s Launch, is that this station streams the scores and
soundtracks of films, TV shows and games. Depending on whether or not
you’re a member, you have a choice of over 33000 tracks
and 1900 albums that you can request a
song from every 15 – 240 minutes. They also have an 8-day no repeat policy, so
you’re assured you won’t be listening to the “Blue Danube” every single day.
StreamingSoundtracks.Com is a fun website to browse with a wide variety of tracks to choose from. You can
choose tracks from your favorite composers like Ennio Morricone (The Mission),
James Horner (Braveheart) and many more. You will also find tracks from up and
coming composers and composers of your anime favorites like Joe Hisaishi
(Princess Mononoke, Howl’s Moving Castle) and many more.
Another great feature at SST is the ease of purchasing an album after listening
to it online. They have links to many online stores where the soundtracks are
easily available. SST also has a great community. Listeners all over the world
converge and greet each other cheerfully and before you know it you’re pulled
into their SST gang, getting excited when an Ennio track comes up and discussing
the latest upcoming soundtracks. “Cocles' Really Mean and Condescending FAQ for
SST Newbies!” is a fun and very straight forward FAQ for all newcomers to SST.
Having won live365’s best of 2005 in soundtracks, SST is a definite station of
choice for score and soundtracks. So from the classic themes of “2001: A Space
Odyssey” or the rolling musical tunes of “The Sound of Music” to the more dark
and haunting themes of “The Ring”, you won’t be disappointed.
