Tick Tock (The Evil Clock)
by Melissa Minners
Tick Tock
Tick Tock
Slow to move
Are the hands of the clock
The day seems to drag
The minutes are long
Stare at the clock
And wait for the gong
One hour passed
Seven more to go
How on Earth
Can one day be so slow?
The clock’s hands move
At a leisurely pace
And you can do nothing
But stare at its face
It mocks you unkindly
Your situation grows dour
And you become more antsy
With each passing hour
This workday is long
And you beg for an end
But the clock face is evil
And time is no friend
